Lead Software Engineer (.NET + Azure)

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise integration or backend engineering.
• Deep production experience with Azure API Management (policies, products, deployment as code), Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and serverless compute (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
• Expertise in REST API design using OpenAPI and JSON Schema, as well as asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, Key Vault, private endpoints, OAuth2, HMAC, Bicep, Terraform, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET or comparable enterprise backend languages.
• Outstanding written and spoken English (B2+), with the ability to present technical trade-offs to clients and stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure API Center, Avro, schema registries, APIOps, or data governance frameworks like Microsoft Purview.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or OneLake integrations.
• Experience integrating with major CRM, ERP, or ITSM platforms.
• Prior experience in public-scheme, regulated, or multi-supplier programs with formal design authorities.

• Partner with the Integration Architect to build core platform components such as contract repositories, API/event catalogues, APIOps pipelines, Azure API Management, Event Hubs, Service Bus, and managed file exchange.
• Build, test, and deploy integrations using C#, .NET, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform), ensuring performance, scalability, and security standards like OAuth2, HMAC, and Key Vault.
• Serve as deputy to the Technical Lead by running technical discussions, decision-making in their absence, conducting code reviews, and mentoring integration engineers.
• Collaborate with the Data Platform team to establish data contracts, operational boundaries, and zero-copy access to source data (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Purview).
• Enforce contract-first integration standards (OpenAPI, JSON Schema, Avro) and pipeline quality gates to align vendor teams on integration patterns.
