Senior Embedded Developer

The role is focused on developing and verifying control features for Power Plant Controller (PPC) systems, supporting plant-control capabilities and integration of renewable energy assets such as wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

• 5+ years practical experience developing control or embedded-function models in MATLAB/Simulink
• Strong foundation in control systems and dynamic-system behavior
• Experience structuring model interfaces, parameters, signals, and reusable components
• Capability to debug models, document design decisions, and work from requirements and acceptance criteria
• Working knowledge of C++ to read and discuss implementation code and integration issues
• Experience with source control and engineering review/test workflow
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Background in PPC, power-generation, industrial automation, inverter, or energy-storage embedded-control development
• Experience with active/reactive power, voltage/frequency control, grid-support functions, or multi-asset plant coordination
• Familiarity with Stateflow, model-based design, model testing, or automatic code-generation workflows
• Experience with closed-loop, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop validation, deployment to real-time controllers
• Integration of control models with C/C++ software, PLCs, or real-time controller hardware
• Experience with requirements traceability, DFMEA, or system-level verification and validation

• Translate feature requirements and control behavior into clear, maintainable MATLAB/Simulink models
• Participate in requirements clarification and design reviews
• Develop and update control logic for power and voltage/frequency response, dispatch, and plant coordination
• Define and maintain model inputs, outputs, parameter buses, and feedback signals
• Build or adapt closed-loop simulation scenarios and investigate dynamic response
• Run model checks and support software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop validation
• Collaborate with PPC C++ developers on implementation assumptions and integration
• Contribute to failure-mode analysis, verification, validation, and technical documentation
• Support regression testing and provide model changes and evidence for software integration
