Quality Assurance Engineer

Walter Kidde Portable Equipment, LLC operates in the R&D / Engineering sector, specializing in embedded security solutions such as intrusion systems, access control panels, peripherals, and related accessories. • Engineering degree in Electronics or related technical field
• 3+ years' experience in Quality Assurance domain
• Experience with embedded system or hardware-related products testing (control panels, gateways, home automation etc.)
• Knowledge of QA processes, methods and tools and ability to use them in practice
• Structured, detail-oriented testing mindset
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills (including usage of debugging logs, traces, serial output)
• Good command of English language (in writing and speech)

Nice to have:

• ISTQB certificate
• Experience in Atlassian toolchain usage
• Experience with EN 50131 or similar standards
• Experience in intrusion, detection or access domain

• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on product requirements and specifications
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and compatibility testing of intrusion and access control solutions
• Validate interactions between hardware, firmware, software applications, and cloud services where applicable
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and results
• Create and maintain test plans, test reports, and defect documentation
• Support compliance readiness for EN 50131 through structured test evidence
• Provide feedback on product quality risks and release readiness
• Collaborate daily with R&D engineers, product management, and compliance teams
