FinOps Cloud Engineer

Infolet supports IT leaders by providing technologies, experts, and full operational support including legalization of stay and work for international IT specialists. They have been operating for 20 years and work on projects involving Java, JavaScript, C embedded, C++, PHP, mobile specialists, software testers, network and system administrators, among others.

• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud platforms: Azure (Log Analytics, Monitor, Sentinel, Policy), and strong knowledge of AWS (CloudWatch, S3) or GCP (Cloud Logging, BigQuery)
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code experience: Terraform, Python, Bash, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
• Practical experience with FinOps: cost allocation, tagging, budgeting, and savings forecasting
• Expertise in observability and storage management including log architecture, data retention, and storage lifecycle
• Experience working in enterprise environments with strict compliance, change management, and risk frameworks
• Strong communication skills to present technical proposals to senior leaders and lead cross-team workshops

Nice to have:

• Certifications from FinOps Foundation or cloud certifications for Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Background in financial services domain

• Identify and optimize ingestion, retention, tiering, sampling, and routing rules across cloud logs and storage to find savings opportunities prioritized by ROI and risk
• Automate and deploy scalable automation and Infrastructure as Code templates using Terraform and CI/CD for cost control, drift detection, and governance
• Improve tagging and allocation models for accurate showback/chargeback; define policies, workspace quotas, retention rules, and budget alerts
• Engage stakeholders by running optimization clinics with platform and application teams to set cost reduction targets
• Build business cases with projected savings, produce executive-level reporting, and present technical recommendations to senior engineering leads
• Ensure all changes comply with strict risk, compliance, and change control frameworks; maintain runbooks and rollback plans
