Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer

• Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or engineering analytics, preferably in SaaS, marketplace, fintech, e-commerce, or B2B2C environments.
• Practical proficiency in Microsoft Fabric or strong experience with Azure Synapse/Databricks and readiness to adopt Fabric immediately.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL/T-SQL and proficiency in Python or PySpark for building ETL/ELT pipelines and analytical data models.
• Expertise in Power BI and DAX including semantic modeling, incremental refresh, query performance optimization, and capacity management.
• Experience with legacy-to-modern migration in data and reporting layers including data consistency validation and change management.
• Operational production system maintenance: monitoring, incident analysis (root-cause), Data Lineage, and Data Quality rules.
• Proficiency with Git version control (pull requests, CI/CD for notebooks, pipelines, and models).
• Practical use of AI/automation tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation processes.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of financial and payment domains: settlements, commissions, chargebacks, payment reconciliation.
• Experience with Reverse-ETL flows and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk).
• Experience modeling data from NoSQL databases to analytical structures (CDC, change feeds).
• Work with product and marketing analytics sources: GA4 (BigQuery export), Google Ads, Segment.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, LLM, RAG, building analytical copilot tools, or automated insight generation.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI principles and sensitive data management: RBAC, PII, audit compliance, GDPR/RODO.

• Microsoft Fabric architecture: Design and deploy solutions using Fabric components (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, semantic models) with Git versioning and governance rules.
• Migration to Fabric Semantic Layer: Transition from legacy metric and reporting tools to unified semantic layer including parity testing, business validation, and phasing out old systems.
• Data pipeline engineering: Design, optimize, and maintain data flows integrating API sources, files, events, and operational databases; implement orchestration, monitoring, alerts, and automated data quality controls.
• AI automation: Utilize AI/LLM solutions to accelerate ETL/ELT, schema mapping, documentation generation, testing, and anomaly detection.
• Power BI modeling: Create advanced semantic models, DAX calculations, and reusable business metric definitions for finance, product, operations, and management teams.
• CRM and Reverse-ETL integrations: Maintain operational and CRM data flows (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), including identity and schema mapping and feeding target systems.
• M&A integrations: Develop repeatable ingestion and modeling patterns for newly acquired business entities ensuring reporting continuity and auditability.
• Engineering standards and mentoring: Define Ready/Done criteria, code review standards, release procedures, runbook documentation, and provide technical support to engineers and analysts.
