Mid Android Developer

co.brick talents is recruiting a Mid Android Developer to work on development and modernization of a large, multi-market mobile application for a client in the financial sector. The project focuses on expanding UI architecture and component library, including migrating from Android Views/XML to Jetpack Compose in a banking multi-module architecture.

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in Android application development.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and classic Android UI (Views, XML).
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and Dependency Injection frameworks (Hilt/Dagger).
• Familiarity with MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns, Gradle, and multi-module projects.
• Proficient with Git and integration of new code into legacy systems.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Design Systems, design tokens, and dynamic theming.
• Experience migrating applications progressively from Android Views to Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with multi-module/multi-flavor apps and runtime Feature Flags configuration.
• Knowledge of banking or financial sector domain requirements.

• Design, implement, and maintain reusable UI components using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate new Compose components with existing Android Views/XML screens and migrate UI architecture gradually.
• Develop UI component libraries within a multi-module, multi-flavor banking application structure.
• Ensure code quality and testability, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with development teams.
