Delivery Manager

• 5+ years in IT with strong software engineering background including 2+ years as Lead Developer, Team Lead, or Delivery Lead
• Proven experience managing delivery for teams of 5+ FTEs
• Ability to read and understand code and architecture of full-stack solutions, and to design and deliver one
• Knowledge of architectural styles (n-tier, SOA, event-driven, microservices) and design notations like UML
• Ability to design for quality attributes (performance, scalability, security, maintainability) and justify trade-offs
• Advanced hands-on CI/CD experience: designing pipelines from scratch and optimizing existing ones
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure); cloud certifications a plus
• Advanced code quality practices including code review, static analysis, and coding standards
• Hands-on experience driving AI-assisted SDLC adoption and building AI agents (e.g., with LLM APIs and agent frameworks)
• Solid project management skills including scope, estimation, planning, risk, quality, and change management
• Hands-on experience setting up delivery metrics across SDLC stages and adjusting to commercial models and SDLC approaches
• Experience establishing team-level delivery governance: cadences, reviews, reporting, escalation
• Practical experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to tailor methodology
• Understanding of testing fundamentals: test levels, types, and activities
• Experience with direct client communication on technical topics and conflict resolution, ideally in multicultural environments
• People leadership: coaching, feedback, performance management, and interviewing
• Strong ownership, adaptability, clear verbal and written communication, confidence to challenge existing approaches constructively
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Experience delivering AI-based solutions such as LLM-powered applications, chatbots, or recommendation engines
• Awareness of legal, ethical, and compliance aspects of GenAI including privacy, data security, IP, and bias
• Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
• Basic understanding of engagement models (Staff Augmentation, Managed Capacity, Managed Service)
• Basic understanding of project P&L

• Lead end-to-end delivery of teams, managing scope, timelines, quality, and outcomes
• Own team staffing: define roles, interview candidates, assess skills and seniority
• Set up or take over delivery environment technically (tooling, environments, CI/CD) and process-wise (ways of working, ceremonies, roles)
• Plan and estimate effort, schedule delivery, track milestones, and collaborate with leadership on budgets
• Establish team-level delivery governance including reviews, health checks, reporting, and escalation
• Drive data-driven delivery by defining and tracking metrics across SDLC stages and delivery aspects
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; run risk reviews and escalate as needed
• Act as problem solver focused on delivering customer value
• Make software architecture decisions within team scope and justify them
• Translate architecture into detailed implementation plans and suggest improvements
• Dive into code-level problem areas and support resolution
• Design CI/CD processes and remove pipeline inefficiencies
• Design quality processes across SDLC: coding standards, code review, static/dynamic analysis, refactoring, testing
• Choose and adapt delivery methodology (Scrum, Kanban, other) to project needs
• Drive adoption of AI-powered SDLC from coding to project management and measure impact
• Build AI agents and skills hands-on to automate workflows and raise efficiency
• Evaluate and select GenAI tools and platforms, communicate benefits to team and stakeholders
• Contribute to AI-based solutions delivery and EPAM's GenAI offerings in client and presales
• Own direct communication with client stakeholders on technical and delivery topics; handle conflicts
• Learn client domain, internal processes, and align team's ways of working
• Lead by example: coach, give feedback, manage performance, build inclusive environment
• Contribute to presales through estimations, architecture reviews, and documentation
• Share delivery best practices with the wider EPAM community
