Delivery Manager

• 5+ years in IT with strong software engineering background, including 2+ years as Lead Developer, Team Lead, or Delivery Lead
• Proven delivery management for teams of 5+ FTEs
• Ability to read and understand full-stack code and architecture
• Knowledge of architectural styles (n-tier, SOA, event-driven, microservices) and UML
• Design for quality attributes: performance, scalability, security, maintainability
• Advanced hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline design and optimization
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure); cloud certifications a plus
• Advanced code quality practices including code review and static analysis
• Hands-on AI-assisted SDLC adoption
• Hands-on experience building AI agents and skills (e.g., with LLM APIs and agent frameworks)
• Solid project management skills: scope, estimation, planning, risk, quality, change management
• Delivery metrics setup and adaptation per commercial model and SDLC
• Team-level delivery governance experience: cadences, reviews, reporting, escalation
• Practical Agile framework experience (Scrum, Kanban) with method tuning
• Understanding of testing fundamentals: test levels, types, activities
• Direct client communication on technical issues; conflict resolution experience
• People leadership: coaching, feedback, performance management, interviewing
• Strong ownership, adaptability, and clear communication
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Experience delivering AI-based solutions like LLM-powered apps, chatbots, recommendation engines
• Awareness of legal, ethical, compliance aspects of GenAI: privacy, data security, IP, bias
• Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
• Basic understanding of engagement models (Staff Augmentation, Managed Capacity, Managed Service)
• Basic understanding of project P&L

• Lead end-to-end delivery of teams, owning scope, timelines, quality, and outcomes
• Define team roles and skills, interview candidates, and assess their seniority
• Set up delivery environment technically and process-wise, adapting to project needs
• Plan, estimate effort, schedule delivery, and track milestones
• Establish delivery governance including reviews, health checks, reporting, and escalations
• Define and track delivery metrics across all SDLC stages
• Identify, assess, and mitigate scope, schedule, budget, and resource risks
• Solve project problems with a focus on customer value
• Make software architecture decisions and translate architecture into detailed plans
• Dive into problem areas at the code level and support resolution
• Design CI/CD processes and remove pipeline inefficiencies
• Design quality processes including coding standards, code review, static and dynamic analysis, refactoring, and testing
• Choose and adapt delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, others)
• Drive AI-powered SDLC adoption and measure impact
• Build AI agents and skills to automate workflows
• Evaluate and select GenAI tools and platforms, explaining benefits
• Contribute to AI-based solutions and presales offerings
• Communicate directly with client stakeholders, manage conflicts
• Learn client domain and align team's ways of working
• Coach teams, manage performance, and foster inclusive environment
• Contribute to presales through estimations and architecture reviews
• Share delivery best practices within EPAM community
