Delivery Manager

• 5+ years in IT with strong software engineering background including 2+ years as Lead Developer, Team Lead, or Delivery Lead
• Proven track record managing delivery for teams of 5+ FTEs
• Ability to read and understand code and architecture of full-stack solutions and design and deliver them
• Knowledge of architectural styles (n-tier, SOA, event-driven, microservices) and design notations like UML
• Ability to design for quality attributes: performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and justify trade-offs
• Advanced hands-on CI/CD experience designing and optimizing pipelines
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure); certifications are a plus
• Advanced code quality practices including code review, static analysis, and coding standards
• Experience driving AI-assisted SDLC adoption in teams
• Hands-on experience building AI agents and skills with LLM APIs and agent frameworks
• Solid project management skills: scope, estimation, planning, risk, quality, and change management
• Experience setting up delivery metrics across SDLC stages and adjusting metrics to commercial models (T&M, Fixed Fee, Managed Service)
• Experience establishing team-level delivery governance: cadences, reviews, reporting, escalation
• Practical knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to tune methodologies
• Understanding of testing fundamentals: test levels, types, and activities
• Experience in direct client communication on technical topics and conflict resolution in multicultural environments
• People leadership with coaching, feedback, performance management, and interviewing
• Strong ownership, adaptability, verbal and written communication skills
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Experience delivering AI-based solutions such as LLM-powered applications, chatbots, or recommendation engines
• Awareness of legal, ethical, and compliance aspects of Generative AI (privacy, data security, IP, bias)
• Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
• Basic understanding of engagement models (Staff Augmentation, Managed Capacity, Managed Service)
• Basic understanding of project P&L

• Lead end-to-end delivery of your teams, owning scope, timelines, quality, and outcomes
• Define roles and skills needed, interview candidates, and assess skills and seniority
• Set up or take over the delivery environment technically and process-wise, adapting it to project needs
• Plan, estimate effort, schedule delivery, and track milestones collaboratively with senior leadership
• Establish delivery governance including reviews, health checks, reporting, and escalation for all SDLC phases
• Define and track delivery metrics across SDLC stages and aspects, using data to steer decisions
• Identify, assess, and mitigate scope, schedule, budget, and resource risks, escalating early as needed
• Solve problems focused on delivering customer value
• Make software architecture decisions within team scope, justifying them against requirements
• Translate architecture into detailed implementation plans and suggest design improvements
• Dive into problem areas down to code level and support resolution
• Design and continuously improve the full CI/CD process
• Design quality processes across SDLC stages including coding standards, code review, analysis, refactoring, and testing
• Choose and adapt delivery methodology (Scrum, Kanban, or others) to project needs
• Drive AI-powered SDLC adoption, measure impact, and build AI agents and skills to automate workflows
• Evaluate and select Generative AI tools and platforms, explaining benefits to team and stakeholders
• Contribute to AI-based solutions delivery and EPAM's Generative AI offerings in client and presales engagements
• Own communication with client stakeholders on technical and delivery topics, managing conflicts and responsibility
• Quickly learn client domain, processes, and practices, aligning team ways of working
• Lead teams by example through coaching, feedback, performance management, and fostering learning and inclusion
• Contribute to presales through estimations, architecture reviews, and documentation
• Share delivery best practices and knowledge within the EPAM community
