Senior Business Analyst – OT / Control Systems (Energy & Utilities)

SpyroSoft S.A. is hiring for a senior Business Analyst role to support digital transformation projects in the Energy & Utilities sector, focusing on Operational Technology (OT) and Control Systems.

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Energy & Utilities or OT/Control Systems projects.
• Practical experience with technologies such as ADMS, OMS, DERMS, AMI, SCADA.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, requirements engineering, and gap analysis.
• Experience in business process modelling, mapping, and optimisation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, testers, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, business writing, and documentation skills.
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher (C1 preferred).

Nice to have:

• Experience using AI tools in daily workflow.
• Professional experience in Power & Utilities / Energy sector, especially electricity distribution, transmission or smart grid.
• Knowledge of multiple OT/Control Systems platforms and OT/IT integration projects.
• Familiarity with standards and protocols like IEC 61850, IEC 61968/61970 (CIM), DNP3, Modbus.
• Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect, Visio, ARIS, or Signavio.
• Experience in data modelling, SQL, or API integration analysis.
• Support for presales, workshops, business development, technical advisory.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to OT environments.
• Relevant certifications such as IIBA (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP), PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications.
• Knowledge of European languages such as German, French, Italian, or Spanish is a plus.

• Gather, analyse, document and manage business and functional requirements with clients and technical teams.
• Work with OT and Control Systems including ADMS, OMS, DERMS, AMI, and SCADA.
• Conduct business process analysis, mapping, and optimisation.
• Perform gap analysis between existing and proposed solutions.
• Identify system integration requirements and collaborate with architects and developers.
• Act as key contact between business stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams.
• Prepare business requirements documentation, functional specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Support solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment activities.
• Participate in workshops, requirements gathering, and stakeholder meetings.
• Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing test scenarios and validating delivered solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process automation, digitalisation, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Ensure alignment of business objectives, technical solutions, and project deliverables.
