QA Automation Engineer (Consulting services)

Our client is a financial services company focused on helping consumers overcome debt and build a stronger financial future, currently expanding a division centered on home mortgage solutions.

• 4+ years of software QA experience including work with web applications, REST APIs, and/or Salesforce.
• Minimum 2 years programming experience with Java (preferably with Spring Boot), JavaScript / NodeJS (desired), and Python (nice to have).
• Advanced SQL skills including complex queries, data validation, reconciliation, and data profiling.
• Understanding of data architecture such as Medallion and familiarity with Airflow, DAGs, data pipelines, and transformations.
• Ability to understand system architecture and infrastructure.
• Strong ownership, urgency, and ability to manage work across multiple products and projects.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills including mentoring and promoting accountability.
• Experience establishing QA practices, coding guidelines, tools, and processes.
• Availability for occasional meetings up to 8–9 p.m. Poland time.

Nice to have:

• Experience with API testing frameworks such as RestAssured or Unirest.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript UI automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO, or with iOS/Android automation.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail and Jira.
• Experience with monitoring using Datadog.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.

• Build and maintain automated API tests for services owned by the Data Engineering team.
• Write SQL checks to validate data quality and transformations.
• Test data pipelines and verify data as it moves through different layers of the data architecture.
• Check accuracy and consistency of data in reports and investor-facing materials.
• Support end-to-end testing across Data Engineering services.
• Identify test coverage gaps and establish appropriate QA processes and standards.
