3D Environment Artist

Techland is one of the biggest and best-known Polish game developers with studios in Wrocław and Warsaw. For over 30 years, they have delivered AAA franchises such as Call of Juarez, Dead Island, and Dying Light. Their newest project, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, sold more than 5 million copies within the first month after release. Currently, they are also working on an unannounced AAA Open World Action RPG set in a new fantasy universe. This position is on-site in Wrocław or Warsaw.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Environment/Prop Art for AAA game development with at least one AAA title.
• Strong understanding of next-gen asset creation workflow.
• Deep knowledge of art fundamentals including composition, shape, color, detail, form, structure, and silhouette.
• Strong texturing and painting skills.
• Proficiency with 3D packages such as 3DsMax or Blender.
• Proficient in Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance 3D Painter.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Excellent communication skills and team-player attitude.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the gaming industry.
• Knowledge of Substance Designer.
• Animation and/or rigging skills.

• Creating high-quality 3D models and textures.
• Integrating 3D assets into the game engine meeting technical and artistic quality standards.
• Creating environments and set dressing based on concept art and references.
• Collaborating with Art Lead and senior team members to realize artistic vision.
• Working with other departments to enhance player experience.
• Coordinating with Production for accurate time estimates.
• Supporting asset outsourcing by gathering references and creating prototype 3D models.

This position is conducted on-site from Techland's studios in Wrocław or Warsaw; full remote work is not possible.
