Cloud Security Engineer

SoftServe is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to work embedded within the client’s cloud security team. The role involves managing cloud security operations at the intersection of cloud engineering, security, and risk management in multi-account AWS and GCP environments.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security or security engineering with hands-on expertise in AWS and GCP.
• Experience with Upwind or similar CNAPP/CSPM platforms such as Wiz.io, Prisma Cloud, or Orca.
• Strong understanding of risk-based prioritisation and security posture management.
• Knowledge of identity and access management including AWS IAM, GCP IAM, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Basic understanding of agentic AI architectures and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks including NIST SP 800-53 and CIS AWS and GCP Foundations Benchmarks.
• Experience with Terraform and scripting for automation.
• Strong communication skills with fluent English proficiency.

• Own, configure, and maintain the CNAPP platform across AWS and GCP environments.
• Run day-to-day cloud vulnerability management within defined processes and SLAs.
• Deliver regular reporting on vulnerability status.
• Prioritise findings based on actual business risk, data sensitivity, and exploitability.
• Drive remediation efforts with engineering teams through actionable tickets and follow-up.
• Improve overall cloud security posture following industry frameworks and best practices.
