Engineer in Rating & Limit Management

Nordea is a large Nordic bank undergoing digital transformation with a focus on technology to enable customer vision and business strategy. The Financial Statement team within the Rating and Limit Management Unit builds and maintains software solutions for data storage and delivery across the bank, supporting regulatory compliance, data quality, audit trail, and credit decision solutions. The position is full-time and permanent based in Gdańsk or Warsaw, Poland.

• Extensive hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL
• Strong experience with data mapping ensuring accurate data migration, integration, and transformation between multiple systems
• Experience or knowledge of API development and Process Modelling
• Solid foundation in Java, Kafka, and PowerBI
• Experience adapting AI tools or agents into daily activities such as documentation creation, data reconciliation, and test creation

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Python
• Exposure to data warehouse principles

• Drive data modelling and data mapping between system layers and stakeholders
• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Own analysis and solution design with strategic foresight to meet business expectations
• Support the team in defining and refining technical requirements with detailed documentation
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across systems
• Optimize workflows using AI tools to enhance efficiency and maintainability
