Fullstack Developer - AI and API Platform Portal

Nordea is one of the largest Nordic banks undergoing a technological transformation to modernize its technology and data estate while accelerating AI adoption. The role is within the Integration and AI engineering team, focused on building self-service capabilities for API and event-driven integration and extending them to AI-related patterns. The team collaborates with DevOps engineers, developers, UI/UX designers, product owners, architects, and platform stakeholders to deliver production-ready platform capabilities in a hybrid working model between Helsinki, Finland, and Gdańsk, Poland.

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience as a fullstack, backend, or frontend developer.
• Strong skills with Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, and developing/consuming REST APIs.

Nice to have:

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kong API Management.
• Experience with Material UI (MUI).
• Interest or experience in AI-related technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and similar AI integration patterns.

• Develop and maintain backend components using Spring Boot.
• Create frontend features with React, TypeScript, and Material UI.
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations between the gateway and internal/external applications.
• Design and consume REST APIs ensuring reliable and maintainable interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality platform capabilities.
• Contribute to AI-driven features and integrations supporting LLMs, MCP, and A2A.
