Network Operations Expert

Nordea Bank ABP is a large enterprise with newly established teams working on modern infrastructure and complex network technologies across Poland (Łódź, Gdynia, Gdańsk, Warsaw).

• Hold at least a valid CCNP certification, preferably CCNP Security or alternatively CCNP Enterprise.
• Extensive experience in network operations within large, complex enterprise environments covering diverse network technologies and operational tools.
• Good understanding of core ITIL processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Operational knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly Cisco DNA Center), Grafana, Splunk, Syslog-based solutions, and LogicMonitor.
• Expert-level operational and troubleshooting experience with Cisco ISE, including authentication, authorization flows, 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, policy enforcement, endpoint profiling, and complex integrations.
• Deep expertise in operating and troubleshooting Cisco ASA and enterprise VPN services including remote-access VPN, high availability, certificate lifecycle, and authentication dependencies.
• Operational experience with Cisco SD-WAN, including control and data plane concepts, health monitoring, policies, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Cisco Software-Defined Access, including fabric roles, underlay and overlay dependencies, Virtual Networks, Scalable Group Tags, integration with Cisco ISE, and operational troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of multicast operations including IGMP, PIM, rendezvous points, multicast routing and forwarding, and related troubleshooting.
• Experience maintaining accurate CMDB records and working with IT service management and ticketing platforms such as BMC Helix and Jira.
• Extensive hands-on experience in advanced network diagnostics using logs, packet captures, monitoring data, configuration comparisons, and vendor diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile SAFe environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English with strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Lead in-depth technical investigations into complex network issues, service degradation, and infrastructure dependencies.
• Take technical ownership of business-critical incidents, working with engineering teams, vendors, and suppliers.
• Develop operational dashboards and monitoring capabilities that reveal service health, performance, risks, and emerging issues.
• Act as the technical lead for Root Cause Analysis within the Problem Management process.
• Plan and deliver business-critical network changes, including risk assessment and implementation coordination.
• Oversee vulnerability management and security baseline compliance to enhance network security and resilience.
• Participate in operational and supplier reviews, challenging delivery quality and tracking corrective actions.
• Help shape reliable, supportable network services and future network landscapes.
