Senior Test Automation Engineer (freelance)

• At least 6 years of experience in test automation, preferably testing enterprise-class systems.
• Experience independently defining test automation and performance testing approaches.
• Proficiency in more than one mainstream language, preferably TypeScript, Java or Python, and more than one modern framework, preferably Playwright or Selenium.
• Ability and flexibility to learn and use new frameworks quickly.
• Very good understanding of software delivery processes and agile methodologies.
• Very good command of English for daily communication with international project team members.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a group.
• Experience in performance testing using one of the modern tools: JMeter, LoadRunner or Grafana k6.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Independence and a proactive approach.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted test design tools.
• Ability to evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven QA tools.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI limitations.

Nice to have:

• Experience testing CRM solutions such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365.
• Prior experience working in an international environment.
• Practical knowledge of SQL.
• ISTQB certification.
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems concepts.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Assure that delivered software is of the best quality.
• Review and analyse system requirements.
• Define the test automation strategy.
• Cooperate with customers and the PwC delivery team to define the scope of automated tests.
• Create, execute and maintain test automation scripts.
• Create and execute performance test scripts.
• Analyse test results.
• Report on testing effort status and results.
• Lead a team of technical testers.

• Availability is required 5 days a week.
• The ability to operate as a sole proprietor or business entity within Poland is required.
• Occasional business trips may be part of the role.
