Enterprise Architect

• Fluent English.
• More than 7 years of commercial experience in software development.
• More than 3 years of commercial experience in solution architecture design.
• Experience with data management, data integration and data transformation approaches.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration.
• Understanding of SDLC processes and their reasoning.
• Experience guiding software development, testing, deployment and project management.

Computer Science and computing theory:

• Excellent knowledge of architectural and design patterns, algorithms, paradigms and principles, database theory, and code testing practices.

Practical experience:

• Microservices architecture.
• Cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Databricks and Azure Service Bus.
• Database management systems, including Microsoft SQL and MongoDB.
• .NET Core 3.

Business skills:

• Excellent client-facing, business consulting and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and visually, explain and prove differences and the pros and cons of design decisions, and influence senior client decision makers.
• Ability to develop lasting relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading and supporting medium- to large-sized solution delivery projects.
• Experience analysing business, product and technology requirements.

Nice to have:

• Certifications in architecture frameworks such as SEI or TOGAF, cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure, or delivery processes such as SAFe and Agile.
• Experience with release management tools, configuration management tools and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience in pre-sales and proposal or bid preparation.
• Databricks experience.

• Identify business goals and objectives.
• Gather primary functionality, quality characteristics of software behavior and given constraints.
• Elaborate business, information and technology architectures mapping.
• Elaborate architecture vision that satisfies architecturally significant requirements through trade-off analysis, proof-of-concept implementation and benchmarking.
• Set up and manage architecture design and documentation processes.
• Document and communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to major stakeholders.
• Review and validate design decisions made by downstream teams and ensure they satisfy the solution architecture vision.
