This hands-on staff role focuses on backend architecture and financial-grade correctness, using TypeScript on Node.js with RabbitMQ, Redis and PostgreSQL.

Wymagania

8+ years of experience, focused on complex, data-heavy distributed systems.
Deep understanding of distributed system architecture and patterns for queues, workers, idempotency, backpressure, rate limiting and retries.
Production-level DeFi experience, including AMMs, lending, staking, LP positions and bridges; understand on-chain activity and identify data anomalies.
Advanced data modeling and SQL skills, including performance tuning on large PostgreSQL datasets.
Professional experience with Rust, including production use or professional settings.
Expert-level TypeScript skills and deep understanding of distributed systems and DeFi; able to work with async queue architectures, idempotency and on-chain smart contract execution.
Production-level experience with Node.js, RabbitMQ, Redis (ioredis), PostgreSQL, node:test and Sentry.
Experience with blockchain libraries, node/indexer APIs, RPC, provider reliability patterns, and decoding on-chain data such as ABIs, event logs, traces, token standards and transaction semantics.
Experience parsing and wrangling data with csv-parse, xlsx (SheetJS) and node-html-parser, and integrating with inconsistent third-party APIs and file formats.
Experience with Heroku, GitHub and Jira.
Fluency with AI development tools such as Claude, Codex or Cursor, and judgment in using them effectively in a professional workflow.

Nice to have:

A public project portfolio on GitHub or a similar platform.
Deeper Rust experience, especially in performance-critical data processing.
A background in financial products, double-entry accounting or tax domains.
Familiarity with Ruby.
Familiarity with the Koinly product.

Obowiązki

Own the high-performance distributed backend that ingests, normalizes and reconciles on-chain and exchange data at scale, turning it into figures used for tax filing.
Optimize and refactor the backend architecture while ensuring deterministic execution, high availability and financial-grade correctness.
Write high-quality code, make architectural decisions and raise the bar for the backend team.
Work with product and engineering leads to evaluate ideas, propose architectural solutions and take ownership of the backend data pipeline.
Own core data services from architecture through deployment and scaling.
