Data Governance Specialist

• 4–5 years experience in data quality, data governance, data management, or data migration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL, spreadsheets, and reporting/BI tools.
• Bonus points for experience with metadata repositories, MDM, and data quality solutions.
• Strong business understanding, initiative ownership, excellent communication, and project management skills.
• Good knowledge of data protection and compliance requirements.
• Experience in building relationships and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile and change management methodologies.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of recognized frameworks and standards such as DMBOK or relevant certifications.
• Experience with common platforms for data cataloging, MDM, and data quality.
• Facilitation skills for workshops and stakeholder communications.

• Co-create and enforce data governance rules, roles, standards, and metrics.
• Own data quality and semantics, including business glossary, metadata repository, and data lineage.
• Bridge business and IT by gathering needs, setting priorities, and translating them into actionable plans.
• Support master data, data lake/warehouse initiatives, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change documentation.
• Promote a data-driven culture through communication, materials, training, and best-practice adoption.
