Software Engineer II / Senior Software Engineer - General Consideration

• Minimum 2 years experience for Software Engineer II, typically 4-6 years for Senior positions
• Coding skills in at least one programming language including but not limited to Ruby on Rails, Scala, Python, JavaScript
• Experience with AWS Cloud services such as EMR, ECS, S3, and RDS or similar
• Knowledge of building large, highly scalable, distributed systems
• Ability to perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes
• Experience working in SaaS companies
• Ability to impact own work quality and team outcomes
• Excellent communication skills for distributed teams
• Degree in Computer Science or similar is a strong asset
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies

• Work on reliability, performance, cost, and productivity within major applications
• Optimize existing components and tune performance
• Improve security and solve customer-reported issues
• Automate work to eliminate manual tasks
• Maintain and develop backend services related to infrastructure
• Build backend for Zendesk email integrations with external email services
• Deliver intelligent products in the Machine Learning organization to automate manual work for Customer Support Agents
