Senior Platform Security Engineer (100% Remote within Poland)

• Minimum 5 years of experience related to security.
• Extensive experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and securing them.
• Ability to maintain and develop policies for security-focused CNI/Service Mesh (e.g., Calico, Cilium).
• Experience scanning for and managing vulnerabilities at scale.
• Experience with Hashicorp Vault.
• Knowledge of Terraform and popular CI/CD tools.
• Experience building scalable and secure production high-availability environments using AWS.
• Familiarity with network security services such as AWS WAF and Cloudflare.
• Ability to develop tools or scripts in Bash or Go for automation.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written, minimum B2 level).
• Ability to advocate for security and best practices effectively.

Platform Security Team Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for the Global Security Team.
• Ensure security and integrity of the underlying infrastructure supporting the organization.
• Safeguard the platform from potential vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks.
• Develop and maintain tools for Global Security to deliver vulnerability management platforms for application triaging and continuous compliance.

Collaboration:

• Work with Global Security on platform compliance, risk management, and act as technical contact during escalated incidents such as DDoS or abuse cases.
• Collaborate with PMS teams to audit existing systems, support secure migration to the central platform, and interpret global security and legal requirements.
• Consult with Core Team within Internal Platform on technical compliance, networking standards, and resolving misconfigurations or vulnerabilities.
• Provide guidance to Experience Teams on infrastructure-related application security topics, secure encryption practices, and secure CSP integrations.
• Work with Legal to ensure alignment with data protection regulations, encryption standards, and locality requirements.

Platform Impact:

• Ensure platform compliance with industry security standards (ISO27001, C5, SOC2).
• Introduce security at every step of the platform lifecycle.
• Understand and mitigate security threats proactively.
• Optimize system scalability and cost efficiency.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple continents.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure high availability of deployed services.
• Fix urgent issues and optimize performance.
• Support team members in daily work.
