Senior Snowflake Engineer/Architect with Data Security

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Azure.
• 2+ years of experience as a Snowflake Architect.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).
• Strong understanding of Azure Cloud architecture.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake security and data protection mechanisms.
• Advanced data modeling skills.
• Experience assessing and optimizing Snowflake platforms for security and scalability.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Exposure to AI-driven data solutions beyond Snowflake Cortex.
• Certifications in Snowflake or Azure.

• Architect secure Snowflake-based solutions and drive their implementation across projects.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure data platform designs.
• Define and enforce security and governance standards for data access, processing, and sharing.
• Participate in technical reviews, threat modelling, and security assessments for data initiatives.
• Design, architect, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake and Azure.
• Lead Snowflake architecture initiatives, ensuring performance, scalability, and security best practices.
• Conduct Snowflake Data Platform assessments, particularly in security and scalability areas.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Bicep.
• Leverage Snowflake AI capabilities (e.g., Cortex AI) to enhance data solutions.
• Develop and maintain robust data models to support analytics and business intelligence.
• Define and enforce data security standards including access controls, encryption, and auditability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to data engineering teams.
