System Administrator F/M

We are currently looking for a System Administrator for our client, who collaborates with European institutions. The successful candidate will join the company's development team and closely cooperate with the client's IT team in Ispra, Italy.

• University degree in IT or a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 17 years of relevant IT work experience
• Expertise in firewall technologies (particularly Cisco, Fortinet, VMware NSX)
• Experience with IPSec and SSL VPN technologies and standards
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS network intrusion detection technologies
• Experience with vulnerability detection and management solutions (e.g., Tenable Nessus, Tenable Security Center)
• Strong understanding of incident response processes and techniques
• Solid knowledge of security practices on Microsoft technologies (Windows 10, Windows Server 20xx, Active Directory)
• Experience with security monitoring and attack detection tools (e.g., Tenable Identity Exposure, Splunk)
• Familiarity with dual-factor authentication systems (token and RADIUS servers)
• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and services (NTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.)
• Excellent command of the English language

• Administration of Linux-based client/server platforms (both virtual and physical)
• Administration of Windows-based client/server platforms
• Installation and configuration of client/server software, managing the IT infrastructure in laboratories and the end-user environment
• Management of users and computers within a hybrid Active Directory infrastructure
• Managing the end-user VDI platform, ensuring proper configuration of resources and Corporate-level services (e.g., CI/CD and BDAP platforms - JRC BigData)
• Management of Intune workstations
• Handling backups and performing restore operations to support the end-user environment (1st/2nd level support)
• Troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware, including analysis and problem resolution
• Maintaining a detailed hardware and software inventory
• Providing installation and configuration support for end-user applications
• Collaborating with upstream support teams and stakeholders
