Solution Architect - Open Source Technologies

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role is part of a newly formed Technology POD focused on designing and delivering high-performing, secure, and scalable solutions leveraging open source platforms.

• 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or related roles.
• Proven expertise in open source technologies, including Linux and application stacks.
• Strong experience in designing distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.
• Familiarity with automation tools and configuration management frameworks.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead key technical decisions.
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
• Familiarity with streaming and data platforms (Kafka, NoSQL, RDBMS).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Contributions to open source projects – GitHub/GitLab profile is a plus.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Design end-to-end solutions built on open source technologies (e.g., Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, Kafka).
• Define and guide architecture roadmaps, ensuring business and operational alignment.
• Evaluate and integrate open source tools and frameworks, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams for solution delivery and scalability.
• Create and maintain architecture blueprints, technical documentation, and roadmaps.
• Mentor engineering teams and lead technical discussions and workshops.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and open source innovations, engaging with the wider open-source community where relevant.
