Lead Cloud Infrastructure Integration Engineer (PostgreSQL | Kubernetes)

1dea is a recruitment consulting company providing IT talent acquisition services for its clients. It has been operating in the Polish market for over 8 years and is gradually expanding its services to Western European markets.

• 4+ years of successful experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
• Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL including migration, backup, optimization, and HA.
• Practical knowledge of traffic and database cluster management tools: HAProxy, pgpool, pgBouncer.
• Experience working with leading cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong focus on security and compliance, with experience in highly regulated industries being a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective project leadership.
• English language proficiency sufficient for daily communication in speech and writing.

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of Python for automation and infrastructure scripting.

• Designing and integrating scalable cloud infrastructure and high availability (HA) systems.
• Providing technical leadership including mentoring junior team members, setting technical standards, and making key architectural decisions.
• Managing PostgreSQL databases including planning and executing migrations, configuring HA, and managing backup processes (knowledge of Barman is a plus).
• Implementing and maintaining load balancing and database proxy solutions (HAProxy, pgpool, pgBouncer).
• Ensuring the highest data security standards and regulatory compliance in a regulated environment.
