Cloud Data Architect (Azure)

• Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience, including at least 3.5 years in cloud data engineering with commercial production deployments
• At least 1 year experience as Lead Developer, Data Architect, or equivalent responsibility level
• Deep technical knowledge of Azure Data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI)
• Proficient with Databricks platform, especially Delta Live Tables and Unity Catalog
• Practical knowledge of automation and version control tools and processes: CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git
• Experience in creating and modifying data models and migrating on-premise solutions to cloud
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including mentoring, training, coordinating engineers, and supporting team technical growth
• Ability to conduct presentations and talks at industry events and willingness to travel for business

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of IaaC/Terraform
• Experience with Git
• Familiarity with Data warehouse and Data Marts
• Understanding of Lambda and Kappa architectures

• Design, create, and optimize modern data processing platforms (DWH, Data Lake, Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse) on Microsoft Azure and integrate them with BI and ML solutions
• Provide advisory support to clients on strategic technology decisions and select optimal architectures (Lambda, Kappa) aligned with business goals
• Manage the entire Big Data solution development process from business requirements analysis, technical architecture design, testing, production deployment, to data flow documentation
• Design and implement secure data storage mechanisms and near real-time analytical systems
• Conduct R&D, execute Proof of Concept projects, and oversee cloud performance, diagnostics, and cost management
• Maintain professional relationships with client decision-makers (VP, IT Director) and technical teams
• Coordinate engineers' work, supervise project progress from concept to deployment, and collaborate closely with other architects and developers
