Performance QA Engineer

Veeam is the Data and AI Trust Company specializing in data resilience and data security posture management. Headquartered in Seattle with offices in more than 30 countries, Veeam protects over 550,000 customers worldwide. The role is part of the Veeam Quality Assurance team based in the Warsaw R&D office.

• Technical education or strong hands-on passion for systems and performance
• 1–2 years of experience in performance and/or load testing or strong practical background in system performance
• Ability to analyze test results and identify bottlenecks, limits, and performance risks
• Solid knowledge of Windows and/or Linux at an advanced user or system administration level
• Good understanding of system internals including CPU, memory, storage, and networking
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and structured thinking
• Motivation to grow as a performance and scalability engineer
• English proficiency for daily communication within international teams

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with databases (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including profiling and performance analysis
• Scripting, test automation, or infrastructure deployment experience
• Understanding of virtualization platforms and large virtual environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Experience with Python
• Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or similar infrastructure as code tools

• Design and execute performance, load, and scalability testing for major components of Veeam products from requirement analysis to results analysis
• Build and maintain realistic enterprise-grade test environments including large infrastructures and complex topologies
• Identify performance bottlenecks and system limits and collaborate with developers, functional QA, and product managers to resolve them
• Participate in root cause analysis of performance issues reported by Technical Support and customers
• Own and evolve performance test labs including environment creation, configuration, monitoring, and collaboration with IT teams
