Senior Azure Administrator - Data & AI Department

Xenon7 works with leading enterprises and innovative startups on cutting-edge IT projects involving Data, Web, Infrastructure, AI, and others. They partner with clients including a premier Egyptian financial institution undergoing a digital transformation to establish state-of-the-art data architecture. The role supports a hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure in the banking sector complying with Central Bank of Egypt regulations.

• Deep hands-on experience managing traditional on-premises enterprise data centers, including virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), physical networking, SAN, and Windows/Linux server administration.
• Minimum 5 years total IT infrastructure/system administration experience with at least 3 years specializing in Azure Cloud Administration within hybrid architectures.
• Mandatory prior experience in a regulated bank or financial institution in Egypt, understanding CBE cloud governance, data residency laws, and audit readiness.
• Proven familiarity connecting cloud services with on-premises data repositories such as SQL Server or Teradata.
• Knowledge of container environments (AKS, Docker) and enterprise data pipelines is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) required.

Nice to have:

• Certifications in hybrid/security domains such as Azure Stack Hub/Arc and Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex hybrid environments.
• Fluency in English.

• Design, deploy, and maintain integration between on-premises data centers and Azure.
• Provision and optimize Azure resources for data workloads including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Enforce identity governance by aligning on-premises Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID and implement network security fulfilling Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) regulations.
• Standardize deployments using Terraform or Azure Bicep integrated with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and test backup and disaster recovery strategies ensuring zero data loss across local storage and Azure Data Lakes with unified monitoring.

Only candidates with prior experience working inside regulated banks or financial institutions in Egypt are considered due to compliance and data residency requirements. The role requires adherence to Central Bank of Egypt regulations.
