Senior Platform Engineer | mobility AI | R&D | automotive

The client operates in the field of artificial intelligence development for mobility (Mobility AI) and develops technologies for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) as part of R&D.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Build Engineering, or Release Engineering.
• Practical experience migrating production solutions from local or on-premise Docker environments to hosted cloud platforms.
• Experience designing and maintaining cloud services, including Kubernetes (manifests, Helm, Ingress, basic operators) and at least one cloud platform among AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Very good knowledge of Docker and multi-stage container builds used in production environments.
• Very good knowledge of GitLab CI/CD or similar tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite), including designing complex pipelines, runner configuration, and caching mechanisms.
• Very good knowledge of the Linux system: networking, file systems, processes, and performance problem diagnosis.
• Proficiency in Polish and English at minimum B2+ level.
• Higher technical education.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Bazel or similar large project build systems, including migration from Cargo or CMake.
• Experience with CI infrastructure using Hardware-in-the-Loop or Simulation-in-the-Loop tools (e.g., RENODE, QEMU).
• Practical knowledge of security and compliance standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, automotive cybersecurity standards UN R155 and UN R156.
• Use of AI tools to support productivity, such as pipeline generation using LLM models, operational agents, and CI log analysis with AI.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform, Pulumi or equivalents).
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization issues (budget alerts, right-sizing, resource reservation).

• Lead migration of the MetaSDV platform from local Docker-based developer environments to a hosted cloud platform.
• Maintain and develop the cloud platform, including capacity planning, fulfillment of Service Level Objectives (SLO), cost optimization, disaster recovery strategies, and reliability assurance.
• Implement and maintain security and compliance mechanisms, including tenant isolation, audit logging, lifecycle management of secrets and certificates, and identity control across environments.
• Manage comprehensive build and release processes, including multi-layer container environments for development and CI, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, compiler caches (e.g., sccache), multi-architecture compilations (x86_64, ARM, embedded systems, CI runners), artifact publication (nightly and versioned), offline package preparation, and container registry maintenance.
• Maintain testing infrastructure and observability systems, including end-to-end, integration, performance and load testing, logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and Hardware-in-the-Loop solutions (e.g., microcontroller emulation using RENODE).
• Create and maintain platform instances for partners, managing access, lifecycle of environments, and integration support during partner onboarding.
• Ensure high developer experience quality, including local environments launched via single commands, repeatable builds, fast feedback, and close collaboration with engineers, architects, and technical leaders to align infrastructure with product roadmaps and partner integration schedules.
