Software Engineer II (Full-stack Web)

EBS Sp. z o.o., a rapidly expanding Polish technology company and part of Alarm.com, focuses on smart security solutions and innovative technologies such as AI, video analytics, facial recognition, machine learning, and energy analytics. The role is part of building a new team in Krakow.

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar engineering program.
• English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience building full-stack web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, a framework/library like React, CSS, HTML.
• Exposure to backend OOP development, e.g., C#, Web API development.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Strong interest in learning backend and frontend best practices.

Nice to have:

• Exposure and strong fundamentals in JS frameworks/libraries like React and/or Ember.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, Kafka, or microservices.
• Experience with automated testing of web and backend services.

• Implement full-stack features (frontend and backend services) under guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with teammates, product managers, and designers to build scalable user-facing features.
• Develop efficient, maintainable code balancing performance, security, and reliability.
• Gain experience with frontend technologies like React, Ember and backend services using C#, Web APIs, microservices.
• Write unit tests, participate in QA cycles, and monitor production performance.
• Stay updated with new tools and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and documentation.
