Forward Deployed AI Engineer

AMD is a company powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI, and its Compute and Graphics team integrates agentic AI into core team workflows.

• 6+ years of technical experience, including 1+ year building and shipping AI workflows.
• Fluency with AI development tooling such as agent frameworks, API integrations, Claude Code, Cursor, and cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL, plus proficiency in at least one other common programming language.
• Proven track record of developing AI tools, automations, or agentic systems that have changed real work processes.
• Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Comfortable managing multiple relationships and workstreams with varied AI skill levels.

Nice to have:

• Experience inside engineering, product, or design teams.
• Machine learning background including classification, clustering, forecasting.
• Development of internal tools or playbooks that remain in use after your departure.
• Consulting, solutions engineering, or similar roles focused on building trust and delivering early results.

• Embed agentic AI into the workflow of the Compute and Graphics team.
• Collaborate with the team to learn operations and ship tools and automations that change and improve work processes.
• Build quickly, observe usage, fix issues, and innovate.
• Share, reuse, and convert developed solutions into patterns for broader engineering application.
• Prioritize understanding real workflows and bottlenecks before building tools.
• Respect supporting teams and quickly learn their workflows to identify pain points.
• Promote tool adoption as an essential part of the job.
