The Home Automation Experience (HAX) team manages the full home automation domain across web, mobile, and backend services for customers and dealers.
Wymagania
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Solid backend engineering skills building and maintaining HTTP APIs/services, including REST and/or GraphQL.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and design patterns; experience with C#, .NET Core is a plus.
- Solid database fundamentals including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
- Fluency with modern engineer toolchains such as version control (Git workflows), CI/CD, package managers, JSON, YAML, and observability tools.
- Testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end test layers.
- Experience providing peer feedback and influencing code quality through design and code reviews.
- Engineering craftsmanship focused on mastery through deliberate practice and reflection; willing to revisit architectural decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration across product, design, and QA teams to drive technical decisions.
- Experience breaking down ambiguous problems into shippable increments.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with “If this Then that” style automation systems.
- Experience with MicroPython, assembly, or low-level programming languages.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with event-driven/distributed system design and Kafka.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality and safety.
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to legacy-to-modern framework migrations.
- Working knowledge of application security fundamentals including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secrets handling.

- Develop backend and on-device software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies.
- Participate in the entire project life cycle, from requirements development to deployment with cross-team collaboration.
- Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies and methodologies to solve challenging project goals.
- Write coherent, organized code suitable for a complex, highly abstracted codebase.
- Exercise good judgment to balance quick development and robust solutions.
- Work hard and remain flexible to evolving requirements and collaboration needs.
- Collaborate proactively by bringing ideas to product development.
