Data Governance Technology Consultant | Bulgaria

Deloitte is hiring a Data Governance Technology Consultant to be embedded in the technology strategy team advising clients in financial services, energy, insurance, and manufacturing on modern data governance programmes.

• Minimum 1 year experience working with data in a business or technical role
• Strategic and analytical mindset capable of structuring ambiguous problems
• Ability to gather and translate business and technical requirements
• Produce high-quality client-facing documents: requirements, design specs, technical reports, executive presentations
• Advanced written and spoken English proficiency
• Ability to model and document business workflows using BPMN or equivalent process notation
• Practical knowledge of SQL, capable of reading and writing queries for relational and analytical databases
• Familiarity with scripting in Java, Groovy, or Python (supporting skill)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in fast-paced, global environments
• Residence in the European Union

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with Data Quality or Data Governance projects
• Practical knowledge of Ataccama ONE, Collibra, or Informatica IDMC configuration, metadata management, or data quality rule authoring
• Understanding of data cataloguing, business glossary design, lineage, or MDM concepts
• Experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Exposure to cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to data (e.g., GDPR)

• Design, implement, and operate data governance programmes across various industries
• Advise clients on early-stage strategy and tool selection for data governance
• Configure platforms and design data quality processes using best-in-class tooling
• Engage stakeholders including C-level executives and data stewards
• Lead clients through architecture and business transformations
• Participate in digital transformations across EMEA region
