Senior Product Manager - Core Platform

• 5+ years in Product management with 2-3 years focused on platform, infrastructure, developer-facing, or backend/API products.
• Technical depth to engage with senior engineers on distributed systems, execution models, and reliability/scalability trade-offs.
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-team technical initiatives including migrations or breaking changes.
• Ability to prioritize under ambiguity, making trade-offs explicit and linking technical debt to business outcomes.
• Strong ownership and autonomy, proactively addressing problems and driving outcomes.
• Exceptional communication skills adapted to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of enterprise platform realities including self-hosted, air-gapped, and restricted deployments.

Nice to have:

• Ability to read code or build prototypes.
• Experience with B2B SaaS security, compliance, and deployment complexities.
• Comfortable partnering with security teams on code execution, isolation, and compliance.
• Familiarity with workflow automation, orchestration, or open-source and developer-community products.
• Commitment to a writing culture for clarity and alignment.

OWN THE CORE PLATFORM STRATEGY & ROADMAP:

• Define and communicate product strategy and roadmap for the Core Platform in partnership with Engineering and Product leadership.
• Prioritize foundational investments based on customer impact, enterprise needs, technical risk, and engineering effort; make trade-offs explicit.
• Lead product discovery for technically complex problems, engaging enterprise customers and internal teams.

SCALABILITY, RELIABILITY & EXECUTION ENGINE:

• Drive work on scalability and reliability of the execution engine, including worker pools and distributed execution.
• Improve reliability of triggers and execution across complex deployments from multi-main cloud to self-hosted enterprise environments.
• Shape a more secure and flexible approach to executing code within n8n.

MAJOR RELEASES & CROSS-ORG ALIGNMENT:

• Plan and release major or breaking platform versions, managing migration strategy, communication, and risks.
• Establish success measures and hold squads accountable for outcomes.
• Act as bridge between Core team and wider organization teams, explaining platform trade-offs.
• Treat internal product teams as platform customers to identify and address cross-cutting requirements proactively.
