Workday Integration Consultant

• 3+ years of hands-on, production-level experience in Workday integration design, development, architecture, and support.
• Practical experience with Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrate, Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs), and managing Core Connectors within and outside the Cloud Connect framework.
• Proven ability to make sound architectural decisions for integration ecosystems.
• Strong commitment to maintaining technical documentation and design specifications.
• Proficiency with XML, XSLT, Web Services, and data transformation concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HRIS, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Official Workday Integration Certifications (e.g., Workday Studio, Core Connectors/EIB).
• Experience with Workday integrations in multi-country/global environments.
• Knowledge of integration with Identity Management systems, enterprise ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle), global payroll platforms (PECI), and familiarity with Workday Payroll Exports (PICOF).
• Experience with post-go-live stabilization, hypercare, and long-term optimization.

Integration Architecture & Management:

• Design, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrate, Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs), and Core Connectors (including Cloud Connect).
• Make long-term architectural decisions balancing business needs and system scalability.
• Own daily integration operations, monitor performance, and resolve failures.
• Ensure data accuracy, privacy, and regulatory compliance across integrated systems.

Technical Documentation & Governance:

• Maintain comprehensive technical design specifications, integration mappings, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Establish monitoring and support standards for integration operations.
• Support audit, compliance, and security requirements related to employee data.

Post-Go-Live Stabilization & Support:

• Act as a key technical resource during hypercare and ongoing support phases.
• Perform root-cause analysis on integration failures and implement corrective fixes.
• Coordinate support activities with Workday Support, implementation partners, and vendors.

Continuous Improvement & Partnership:

• Collaborate with HR Operations, Payroll, IT, Finance, and business leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline data flows, reduce technical debt, and improve automation.
• Support testing and validation for bi-annual Workday releases and platform updates.
