Database Administrator

INFOPLUS TECHNOLOGIES is a company located in Kraków, focusing on database administration and infrastructure management.

• Strong hands-on experience with at least one enterprise RDBMS such as Oracle (e.g., RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, Exadata), DB2, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new database technologies.
• Experience with shell scripting and automation, including Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Ansible depending on platform.
• Strong understanding of IT operations including incident/change management and controlled production practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical topics clearly to varied audiences.
• Strong organizational skills: methodical, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, including providing out-of-hours support.

• Lead and deliver infrastructure initiatives such as platform evergreening, upgrades, standardisation, estate hygiene, and decommissioning.
• Build and manage database environments, supporting the shift towards reduced physical server deployments and cost optimization.
• Assess and deploy security patches and critical updates ensuring compliance with internal controls and risk requirements.
• Evaluate new database technologies and features, creating proof-of-concepts and supporting adoption, including cloud database services.
• Provide internal consultancy on database design, resilience, performance, backup/recovery, and operational readiness.
• Produce clear and accurate documentation including standards, procedures, implementation guides, and runbooks.
• Report progress and risks to management with concise updates on delivery status, issues, dependencies, and remediation plans.
• Support change and incident activities including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and participate in an on-call/rota model.
