The Network Development team builds software to provision, configure, automate, monitor, and heal the network underlying one of the largest GPU clouds globally.
Wymagania
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally building and operating production infrastructure, platform, or backend systems at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Go.
- Solid understanding and experience with CI/CD practices, including testing, code review, and continuous builds/deployments.
- Experience managing runtime health for services and applications at enterprise scale.
- Hands-on experience with process automation, toil elimination, and building workflow automation or orchestration systems, including automated device provisioning such as Zero Touch Provisioning.
- Strong planning skills to manage multi-month projects with concurrent efforts.
- Strong, well-reasoned technical opinions with openness to new ideas.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: IP addressing and subnetting, routing/switching, NTP, and DNS.
- Comfortable with Linux and Kubernetes, and experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible and Jinja, source-of-truth or IPAM/DCIM systems such as NetBox, and observability tools including Prometheus and Grafana.
- Excellent written communication skills, habit of writing usable documentation, and experience mentoring and collaborating across teams.
Nice to have:
- A degree in Computer Science or related field.
Obowiązki
- Own the design, development, and long-term health of network automation platforms and services, including config generation, device provisioning, workflow automation, observability tooling, and internal CLIs and APIs.
- Plan and sequence complex projects months in advance, managing dependencies and parallel efforts.
- Lead technical direction via RFCs, design reviews, and architecture decisions.
- Write well-tested, well-documented software in Python and Go, setting quality standards with strong test cases, error handling, and CI/CD practices.
- Improve reliability and operability by defining service-level indicators and objectives and reducing manual toil through automation.
- Partner with Network Engineering, Observability, Fleet Engineering, and HPC teams to integrate automation within the wider system.
- Join the on-call rotation and lead calm, blameless incident follow-up.
- Mentor engineers, review code and designs, and develop team technical skills.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team and organizational culture.
