• Daily, fluent use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) with effective prompting and critical code review.
• Proficient use of modern PHP (8.x) with strong OOP and SOLID design understanding.
• Ability to independently deliver in a mainstream PHP framework with Doctrine or another ORM.
• MySQL query optimization skills.
• Experience with REST API design and consumption, automated testing in PHPUnit, and a Test-Driven Development mindset.
• Confidence navigating and refactoring large legacy codebases, increasing use of AI assistance.
• Ownership mindset for delivery from ticket to production with focus on quality and reliability.
• Clear written communication and autonomy in a remote-first, agile team environment.

• Design, build, and maintain backend features in the Core Platform (PHP 8.4, Laminas Mezzio, Doctrine, MySQL) and expose them through well-designed REST APIs.
• Use AI coding agents daily for implementation, test generation, refactoring, and navigating legacy code.
• Improve AI agents' context by enhancing documentation, tests, tooling, and instructions.
• Own correctness, design quality, and security of code merged, performing strong code reviews.
• Launch features with dashboards and alerts, monitor them, and participate in operational health including AI-assisted incident triage.
• Contribute to platform modernization: incremental refactoring, removal of legacy components.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and escalations collaboratively with QA on AI-assisted test automation.
• Collaborate in remote-first international team: code reviews, design discussions, and sharing AI workflows and lessons.
