Frontend Engineer

The role is for an experienced Frontend Engineer to develop a modern web portal and back-office application within a regulated environment. The project includes development of frontend for external user portal and internal back-office interface.

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Engineer.
• Strong professional experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Solid experience integrating Single Page Applications with REST APIs, including OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Hands-on experience implementing OIDC/OAuth2 authentication and authorization flows in frontend applications.
• Practical knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements and automated accessibility testing with Axe.
• Experience with internationalization frameworks, ideally ngx-translate.
• Strong experience writing frontend unit and component tests using Jest or similar.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Native Portuguese speaker or Portuguese proficiency at C2 level.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with shared or enterprise component libraries.
• Previous experience in regulated environments (public administration, e-government, financial services).
• Familiarity with Playwright or similar E2E testing frameworks.
• Experience with multi-tenant or multi-configuration frontend apps.
• Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes concepts.

• Develop and maintain an Angular Single Page Application (SPA) for external portal and internal back-office.
• Work within established frontend technology stack and contribute to frontend architecture and implementation.
• Integrate with shared enterprise UI/component libraries.
• Implement authentication and authorization flows, including OIDC/OAuth2 and session management.
• Manage internationalization (i18n) for multilingual applications using frameworks such as ngx-translate.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and support automated accessibility testing using tools like Axe.
• Consume and integrate REST APIs exposed by backend services.
• Develop and maintain unit and component tests using Jest or similar frameworks.
• Participate in frontend integration activities including portal configuration and customer rollout support.
• Contribute to frontend architectural discussions and technical documentation.

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with Backend Engineers on API contracts and integration.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts / Requirements Engineers on functional requirements.
• Work with Solution Architects on frontend architecture and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with Customer-facing teams on portal integration and rollout.
