LinkGroup is hiring for a Senior Application Support Engineer to support and maintain critical applications in a production environment, emphasizing platform stability, troubleshooting, and automation.

Wymagania

  • 5–7+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, IT Operations, or similar roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and Shell Scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and databases.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python.
  • Solid experience troubleshooting and supporting applications in production environments.
  • Experience with ELK, Kafka, and Zookeeper.
  • Experience with Geneos ITRS, Airflow, and/or BMC Control-M is advantageous.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Experience using AI tools for productivity and automation.
  • Ability to independently resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Very good written and spoken English.

Obowiązki

  • Provide in-depth technical BAU application and production support.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes of varying complexity aligned with IT Service Management processes.
  • Monitor applications, processes, and environments using tools such as Geneos ITRS, Airflow, and BMC Control-M.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot technical and production issues, identify root causes, and drive resolutions.
  • Collaborate with UNIX, Database, Network, and upstream/downstream application teams to maintain and improve service stability.
  • Identify and implement automation and process improvements.
  • Work with development teams on bug fixes and application enhancements to improve platform stability and supportability.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and support remediation.
  • Follow Change Control and Fault Reporting procedures.
  • Manage operational risks and audit points through to closure.
  • Share knowledge and provide cross-training within the team.
  • Prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
