Hardware Engineer, Server Infrastructure

CoreWeave Omni is their model for deploying and operating the CoreWeave Cloud Platform inside customer- and partner-owned data centres. The Warsaw team serves as CoreWeave's EMEA hub for Hardware Compute, focusing on infrastructure behind server hardware systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in hardware, infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering within data centre, cloud, or high-performance computing environments.
• Deep understanding of server hardware, components, and fleet management technologies.
• Proficiency in Python or Ansible.
• Hands-on experience programmatically interacting with server BMCs using Redfish or IPMI (Redfish preferred).
• Experience collaborating with hardware vendors and OEMs to evaluate, qualify, and deploy server solutions.
• Proven experience supporting production infrastructure, managing incident escalations through root-cause resolution, and participating in on-call rotations.
• Excellent technical documentation and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred:

• Experience with new data centre region bring-ups or operating within customer/partner-owned facility infrastructure.
• Familiarity with GPU platforms and rack-scale systems (e.g., NVIDIA GB200, GB300).
• Experience with BMC technologies, firmware lifecycle management, and fleet-scale hardware qualification programmes.
• Strong Linux systems administration and debugging skills at fleet scale.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based services, observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), and distributed production environments.

Hardware Lifecycle Management:

• Own server hardware from provisioning through decommission.
• Automate hardware and firmware lifecycle management services.
• Build monitoring and alerting systems.
• Lead qualification and bring-up for new server platforms.

Operational Support:

• Perform deep root-cause analysis on complex hardware and firmware failures.
• Manage RMAs.
• Serve as senior point of contact for hardware escalations across EMEA and APAC.
• Support new region bring-ups.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Feed operational insights back into system automation and platform design.
