Product Manager – Cloud Platform Provisioning & Persistence

Guidewire Software seeks a Product Manager for its Cloud Platform Product Management organization to own and evolve cloud infrastructure provisioning and persistence capabilities for Guidewire's cloud platform. The role involves working with engineering and product teams to provide a consistent developer experience for platform capabilities such as persistence services and automated provisioning.

• Experience owning technically sophisticated platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products as a Product Manager.
• Strong experience working with engineering teams and translating complex technical problems into clear product requirements, priorities, and execution plans.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and platform engineering concepts, including APIs, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud persistence concepts such as relational and NoSQL databases, high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades, backups, and migrations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across various teams.
• 3+ years of technically oriented Product Management experience with excellent English communication skills.
• Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel 5–10% as needed.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kubernetes-based internal developer platforms or infrastructure provisioning platforms.
• Familiarity with Open Application Model (OAM), KubeVela, Crossplane, or Kubernetes operators/controllers.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Experience with AWS persistence services such as Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache/Redis, or related technologies.
• Experience with B2B SaaS or large-scale cloud platforms.
• Prior hands-on engineering or programming experience, or experience with large-scale B2B cloud platforms.

• Own product definition, roadmap, priorities, and execution for cloud infrastructure provisioning and persistence capabilities across Guidewire Cloud Platform.
• Work closely with Engineering to define and deliver standardized, self-service platform capabilities for Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, DynamoDB, and future persistence services, including provisioning, upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, and failover.
• Drive discovery and solution design with engineers, architects, SREs, and platform consumers, translating complex infrastructure needs into clear product requirements, APIs, abstractions, and sensible defaults.
• Balance developer flexibility with security, reliability, scalability, and operational consistency across platform capabilities.
• Partner with Guidewire application and platform teams, UX, Enablement, Support, Outbound Product Management, and other stakeholders to validate requirements, manage dependencies, and drive adoption.
• Track delivery, adoption, reliability, and product outcomes, continuously improving capabilities based on usage and feedback.
