System Analyst

Scalo is a company delivering software projects and supporting partners in business development. They provide IT services in areas including technological consulting, software development, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum four years of experience in system analysis, IT system design, or technical roles related to software development.
• Very good knowledge of SQL and ability to independently analyze data in relational databases including creating complex queries.
• Experience with system modeling using Enterprise Architect or similar tools.
• Very good knowledge of UML and BPMN.
• Practical knowledge of integration using REST, SOAP, ESB, and asynchronous communication with queues or message brokers.
• Ability to analyze data flows and dependencies in distributed systems.
• Experience translating business requirements into system requirements and proposing technical solutions.
• Ability to analyze edge scenarios, identify inconsistencies and risks, and propose concrete solutions.
• Experience creating analytical and technical documentation including AS-IS/TO-BE diagrams, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools supporting analysis and technical tasks, including AI use for code, data, or documentation work.
• Knowledge of Polish language at C1 level and English at a minimum B2 level.

• Participation in the development of IT systems supporting logistic processes such as outbound shipments to stores and e-commerce clients, international transport, courier integrations, commercial documentation, and invoicing.
• Verification and refinement of business requirements and translating them into system and technical solutions.
• Analysis of AS-IS and TO-BE processes and determining effects of changes on systems, integrations, and data.
• Designing system requirements and co-creating technical solutions with the development team.
• Modeling processes, data flows, and system behavior using UML and BPMN.
• Creating and maintaining analytical and technical documentation in Enterprise Architect and Confluence.
• Analyzing and designing synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST, SOAP, ESB, and message brokers.
• Conducting data analysis and verification of system logic in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases using SQL.
• Analyzing data flows between transport, warehouse, invoicing, ERP systems, and integration layers.
• Identifying edge cases, inconsistencies, risks, and bottlenecks and proposing system improvements.
• Utilizing AI tools to support the analysis of code, data, and documentation and automating repetitive tasks.
• Collaborating with business users, architects, developers, QA, Engineering Manager, and external partners.
• Actively participating in the development of analysis standards and solution quality.

Nice to have:

• Experience in logistics, transport, e-commerce, TMS, WMS, or ERP projects.
• Good knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of microservice architecture and communication patterns in distributed systems.
• Experience with integration layers using ESB, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience in mentoring or supporting junior analysts.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile, Jira, and Confluence.

• Project location: Gdańsk.
• Service delivery mode: 100% remote or hybrid, 1–2 days per week at the client's office in Gdańsk.
• Budget: Up to 150 PLN/h + VAT depending on experience and scope of services.
