Senior Product Designer (UX)

Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform, serving 20 million businesses and individuals with payments, banking, credit, cross-border, and business management tools. It is Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, processing over $250 billion in digital payment transaction value annually through its subsidiaries.

• 3+ years in a senior product design role with a strong focus on UX and impactful project leadership.
• Mastery of visual design, typography, grids, layout, and colour theory.
• Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and user flows.
• Deep understanding of design for mobile and web platforms, ensuring responsive and adaptive experiences.
• Strong knowledge of behavioural psychology influencing user decision-making.
• Extensive experience with usability testing, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations.
• Ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative insights into design decisions.
• Familiarity with UX analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Hotjar.
• Proficiency in atomic design principles and scalable UI frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of motion design tools such as Lottie, After Effects, and Principle.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and articulating design rationale.
• Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced product teams.
• Mastery of Figma including auto layout, design tokens, component variants, and interactive prototypes.
• Proven experience in fintech and/or SaaS environments with industry-specific understanding.

• Define and execute design strategies aligned with business and user needs.
• Lead the end-to-end design process including discovery, research, wireframing, prototyping, and final UI execution.
• Conduct advanced user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to implement designs.
• Design scalable UI components and contribute to the design system.
• Advocate for accessibility (A11y) and inclusive design principles.
• Create and refine micro-interactions and motion elements.
• Use data-driven insights to improve user experience and optimize business impact.
• Mentor and guide junior designers.
• Stay informed on fintech trends and best practices.
