Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Sopra Steria is one of the largest players in the tech industry in Europe, known for its consulting, digital services and software development. The Polish branch, operating in Katowice since 2007 as the Global Delivery Center, has around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department specializes in cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security. The Application Services department handles software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP integrations, and application management for clients across Europe.

• 5+ years experience in data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and ability to write complex queries.
• Basic knowledge of data related AWS services like: S3, Glue, Athena.
• Good communication skills and team player.
• Experience with Agile methods.
• English language proficiency at B2/C1 level.
• Willingness for occasional business trips abroad and visits to Katowice or Gdańsk offices.
• EU Citizenship.

• Work alongside a team of developers and data engineers.
• Create workflows and job pipelines.
• Maintain and debug several data pipelines and data infrastructure.

• Take responsibility for developed, coded, and automated components.
• Review code of colleagues in an Infrastructure as Code environment.
