Senior Software Engineer (Java || Full-stack)

Motorola Solutions Systems Polska Sp.z.o.o is a global company focused on building technologies for public safety and enterprise applications worldwide. The Evidence and Devices Engineering team develops body cameras, vehicle cameras, and evidence management software. The position is based in Krakow, Poland and is part of the evidence management team.

• 5+ years of hands-on backend software development with in-depth knowledge of core Java/JDK.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and core software engineering principles.
• Experience designing and implementing high-performance, multithreaded, state-driven systems.
• Proficiency in creating automated tests using JUnit and applying advanced testing and debugging techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (using Postgres) and ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong communication skills to interface effectively with stakeholders.
• Capability to work independently and in a team within an Agile environment.
• Communicative English.

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience developing REST APIs using JAX-RS, Spring, or similar technologies.
• 2+ years of experience with Angular or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with E2E testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Mentorship, coaching, or leadership experience or aptitude.

• Design and implement clean, modular, scalable, and testable code for the Java backend.
• Conduct performance analysis and profiling for backend systems and databases, ensuring scalability and high performance.
• Apply advanced testing and debugging methods to resolve complex software issues.
• Work collaboratively with local and distributed teams in an Agile environment to continuously enhance product functionality.
