Senior Site Reliability Engineer

SimCorp is a provider of integrated investment management solutions, operating for over 50 years and employing 3,000+ colleagues globally. It is an independent subsidiary of the Deutsche Börse Group. The company recently merged with Axioma to enhance its product offering in the financial technology sector.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree is a plus
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles
• Expertise with Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Bicep, ARM, Terraform
• Solid experience with monitoring and logging tools: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, DataDog, Log Analytics
• Hands-on experience integrating and configuring IdP solutions like Azure Entra ID, Okta, KeyCloak, or PingFederate
• Experience with authentication protocols: SAML, OAuth, OIDC
• Familiarity with observability frameworks such as Open Telemetry and distributed tracing
• Experience with application reliability platforms like Checkly or similar
• Knowledge of synthetic monitoring tools like Playwright or equivalents
• Knowledge of AI/ML-based anomaly detection tools like Microsoft Azure Anomaly Detector or similar
• Experience with Microsoft Defender Suite (EDR, XDR) and Sentinel, proficient in KQL for threat hunting
• Understanding of networking and containerization technologies: Kubernetes, Docker
• Knowledge of APIs and scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Kusto
• Experience with databases: SQL, Cosmos DB, Postgres SQL
• Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension and Salesforce is a plus
• Proficiency in ITSM frameworks like ITIL, focusing on incident, change, and problem management
• Experience managing onboarding projects and live production operations
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Interest in continuous learning and growth

• Support operational and enhancement activities for Cloud Native products and services
• Collaborate with product development teams to improve monitoring, observability, reliability, and performance
• Work closely across engineering teams to understand systems at the code level
• Manage and improve infrastructure deployment pipelines; troubleshoot onboarding and operational issues
• Drive capacity planning to ensure platform resilience and scalability
• Build tools and automation to reduce manual toil and enhance engineering velocity and system reliability
• Define and manage SLOs and error budgets with engineering teams
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
• Execute disaster recovery, configuration management, and platform readiness tasks
• Provide flexible working including rotational evening shifts and on-call support
• Collaborate with Agile teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders during design discussions
• Contribute to knowledge sharing across product areas
• Apply ITIL practices in incident, change, and problem management
