Collaboration Services M365 Purview Engineer, Assistant Vice President

State Street is a global financial services company that supports institutional investors with risk management and performance solutions. The role is within the Collaboration Services team focused on Microsoft 365 solutions such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint. The team works on data governance and security initiatives to serve business units including legal, records management, privacy, and cybersecurity.

• Deep knowledge and experience with multiple Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender solutions.
• Understanding of Unified Communications and Collaboration industry standards and trends.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365 application suite, conditional access policies, Microsoft Teams, Azure B2B, and external collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and lead others toward a common goal.
• Detail-oriented, organized, critical thinker, and problem solver.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Appreciation for good documentation.

• Contribute to and document technical standards.
• Support business units using the solutions.
• Collaborate with M365 application engineers on Purview and Defender integrations.
• Provide technical support and documentation for operations.
• Support legal, records management, privacy, and cybersecurity teams.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives.
• Participate in internal audit activities.
• Assist Tower lead with product roadmap and future planning.
• Evaluate and improve data governance and security postures.
• Provide L5 support for major incidents.
• Identify and propose technical debt rationalization.
• Document implementation steps for records management and data lifecycle solutions.
• Create user guides for solutions interacting with end users.

The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office.
