Data Governance Analyst, Officer

State Street is a global financial services company supporting institutional investors in risk management, performance, and profitability. The position is part of the SSBI Data Governance & Management team, focusing on Finance function compliance with BCBS 239 data governance standards.

• Strong understanding of data management concepts, principles, and practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence staff and customers
• Hands-on experience and SME-level understanding of relevant data sets
• Ability to understand data models, taxonomy, standards, and quality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Word, Visio
• Preferably experience with SQL and BI tools such as Power BI
• Strong project management skills to manage multiple issues
• Self-confidence, energy, and tenacity to bring issues to closure
• Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, IT, Finance)
• 5+ years experience in financial industry, preferably capital markets or financial markets infrastructure
• Ability to take ownership, be accountable, proactive, and work independently in fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in English is required

• Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence platform
• Experience with Collibra Data Quality platform

• Maintain and develop Data Quality Framework for Risk, Finance, and Treasury
• Maintain data dictionary aligned with enterprise glossary
• Manage Data Provider/Consumer relationships to ensure data fitness
• Engage Business Owners to verify operational controls are implemented and documented
• Capture technical metadata and associate physical data structures within the Data Catalog
• Ensure accurate and updated application data lineage in the Data Catalog
• Participate in data integration projects ensuring proper data use and quality controls
• Drive resolution of data quality issues collaborating with stakeholders
• Participate in preparation and execution of end-to-end Data Quality testing
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to increase team productivity
• Provide status reporting on assigned tasks
